With the VersaPost anyone can build a beautiful wood privacy fence using only simple tools. And the VersaPost was designed to allow for easy one person installation for both professionals and do-it-yourselfers.

The patented* VersaPost metal post.
The VersaPost is a high strength steel post available in three different lengths. Each post has a C-shaped center section that resists twisting in high winds. The VersaPost is engineered to withstand a 70 mph wind load. The posts are heavily galvanized to resist corrosion.

3 1/2" smooth shaft square-drive power bit.
The smooth shaft keeps the power bit turning freely if it were to contact the side of the c-channel during fastener installation. Hex-shaft drivers, available at any hardware store, will also work.

Square drive screws.
The square drive holds the screws tighter than any other type of drive. It will actually hold the screw tighter than a magnetic bit holder. Other types of drives, such as Torx and Phillips, may be used if desired. The screws should have a type 17 thread cutting tip for best performance.

Spring clamps.
Spring clamps are used to hold the stringers at the proper height. The stringers rest on the flat upper surface of the clamps. The clamps allow one person to install the entire fence. Perfect for the weekend DIY.

Fence Brackets.
Fence brackets attach directly to the side of the post. They are used only on those ocassions when access to the opening in the C-channel is not available. This could happen when a post is set tight against a structure.
